Dosbarth 1 went on a Welly Walk around Gladestry. The learners took photographs, drew pictures and collected some objects that were made of either natural or man-made materials. Some examples of what they found were stone walls, a metal post box and a wooden table. Back at School, the learners printed and sorted their photographs into a Venn diagram. We had some interesting discussions about a selection of objects that were made of both natural and man-made materials. Da iawn pawb!

Dosbarth 1 and 2 had a lovely afternoon at Gladestry Church spending time in our very beautiful church yard. The Eco committee planned lots of activities for us which involved a scavenger hunt, drawing and painting pictures and identifying different types of trees. We spent the morning preparing some healthy fruit kebabs and decorating biscuits so that we could enjoy a picnic at the Church too. We found out lots of new things about our church yard and were able to appreciate just how special it is. Da iawn pawb!

We had a fantastic morning at the Village Hall meeting all of the very cute animals from Pentre Farm. We were lucky enough to hold, brush and walk some of the animals. Dosbarth 1 were very tempted to get a class pet for themselves (even if they did try to nibble our jackets!) Diolch yn fawr iawn!

Dosbarth 1 had great fun in Health and Wellbeing yesterday! After our journey from Gladestry to Brecon for our topic, we thought that we would see if we could cross the River Usk. We had to ask the question ‘Ga i groeso’r afon?’ and we could only cross if we were wearing certain colours. Da iawn pawb for remembering the colours in Welsh!
